Julia Scott, CEO from the Royal College of Occupational Therapy attended a recent Livewell Southwest Occupational Therapy CPD event.
Julia gave an inspirational presentation which included thought provoking discussions and current healthcare challenges. Steve Waite, CEO and Dan O’Toole, Finance Director attended the event which provided a great opportunity for national developments to be considered in relation to our Livewell Southwest services.
The presentation highlighted the important national ‘Improving Lives Saving Money’ campaign which has prevention and wellbeing at the core of improved service provision recommendations.
The campaign documents evidence how occupational therapy services can be developed resulting in cost savings and improved experiences for people receiving services.
It was a great pleasure to have Julia visit our organisation and was a fantastic opportunity for our occupational therapists to join together to discuss and highlight the great value and potential of the profession.
